Microblading Male Eyebrows: All you need to know
He gets great comments on his brows all the time, but he doesn’t necessarily want to put in all that work every morning. So with Microblading, we can add definition and even make them a little bolder. The pressure, socially or in the workplace, isn’t just aimed at women; men are also in the spotlight too. Men of all ages want to make the most of their appearance now, and thanks to a cutting edge treatment Microblading – you can too!
How does it work?
More and more men are using Microblading or Semi Permanent Makeup – not only to correct medically related problems, but also as a non-surgical alternative to an improved appearance.During the thorough consultation Sarah will discuss your desired outcome, explain procedure steps and healing stages. Sarah will also explain how she custom-blends matching personal color(s) and together with the client will design the best shape for the eyebrows.
The treatment itself takes between 30-45 minutes but plan on allowing 90 minutes to include the consultation, color match, shape design, treatment and the aftercare instruction. Only pigments formulated for cosmetic tattooing are used for the treatments (not to be confused with tattoo inks).
Because there is no actual downtime after the treatment, you can easily return to your daily routine right after. Sarah advises all clients to do thorough research on the artist-practitioner you are going to choose to do the treatment. What are their qualifications? Be sure that they are fully trained in permanent makeup as well as microblading. How much do they charge? If the price looks very attractive — why is it so? These treatments are not cheap to perform and require artistic talent so the price will certainly reflect that. If it’s too cheap, you should ask yourself why… if something sounds too good to be true, well it’s usually is.
Sarah recommends checking the artist-practitioner’s website, where detailed information about the procedure should be explained as well as reviews from those who have had their brows done. It’s not a facial or massage, so make sure you do your research properly to avoid complications and possible costly removal.
How long does it last?
Once the full treatment is performed (original treatment and the follow-up treatment between 4 – 12 weeks later) the effect should last between 9-24 months but Sarah recommends a yearly maintenance to refresh your look. For longer lasting results ask about adding classic permanent makeup hair-strokes.
It is a very subtle procedure and it gives definition without looking too strong, obvious or feminine. This is a treatment that only experienced and fully qualified artists should perform, therefore Sarah strongly recommends doing research before choosing a therapist. Always ask to see the artist’s before, during, and after pictures.
