What Is Microblading?

Microblading eyebrows is a form of permanent makeup that creates natural, beautiful eyebrows with a handheld microblade. It’s perfect for people who have overplucked or those who want to define, darken or reshape their eyebrows.

Say good-bye to drawing on eyebrows in the morning! Correct, define, and reshape your brows with MICROBLADING! It’s perfect for sparse or over plucked brows; a form of eyebrow tattooing; fine lines that resemble real hair; each hair stroke applied with a hand-held micro blade; and can be combined with previously applied permanent eyebrows

Microblading, also referred to as 3D Eyebrow “Embroidery” or Microstroking is a relatively new manual method for enhancing eyebrows. Brows are done using a very fine blade to deposit pigment just below the skin’s surface in the epidermis, so the strokes appear crisp and very fine.

What’s the Difference in Microblading and Permanent Makeup?

The difference is that microblading is not applied using a traditional permanent makeup machine, but the custom-blended pigment is manually placed into the skin. The manual pen is equipped with a sterile packaged blade that deposits color with gentle pressure over the skin causing fine cuts (like a paper cut) leaving a trace that can hardly be distinguished from real hair. As an expert in eyebrow design, Sarah Oliver will create an individual look perfect for your face and the style or look that you are trying to achieve. Above all 3D or HD eyebrows absolutely do not appear as a “stamped-on” looking tattoo.

Microblading For Eyebrows That Look Like Your Own Only Better

Microblading is ideal for men and women wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural hair-like strokes that look real, regardless of the amount of the hair you currently have. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over the initial two-week period. A follow-up appointment is suggested and can be scheduled at the time of your first application.

To begin, you’ll want to schedule a free consultation with Sarah to discuss the various designs as well as additional Microstroking, Hair-stroke Fusion and Brow Powdering techniques to achieve the lasting look you want.

Microblading typically takes two appointments to complete. The first appointment begins with consultation (and numbing cream)  including color and design. The eyebrows are drawn on with a waterproof pencil, so the artist and client can agree on the look. The artist then microblades the eyebrows and the client is ready to go about their day. Expect some mild scabbing and follow your aftercare instructions, and your microblading should be completely healed in 30 days.

The second appointment is a touch up at least 4-6 weeks after the first session. This allows enough time for the ink in the epidermis to naturally slough off, and the color to settle into your skin. At the touch up appointment, Sarah can see how your skin has received the pigment and make any necessary adjustments.

Sometimes a client’s skin undertones may have unexpected effects on the pigment’s healed color, and may need to add color to “tweek”. These kind of corrections are normal with any microblading procedure and an essential part of the process, as everyone’s skin is different and receives color differently.

If you are suffering from alopecia or any other condition that causes hair loss, you will benefit greatly from microblading, as well as those who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.
